Legrand Care had a successful participation at the Altenpflege Fair 2024

Revolutionizing elderly care.

Once again, Legrand Care was present at the Altenpflege fair, the main sectorial platform for care in the German-speaking area. From April 23 to 25, the elderly care and caregiving sector gathered at the Essen exhibition center to exchange information on the latest advancements and challenges.

With over 500 exhibitors and around 18,000 visitors at the main fair and complementary congress, the Altenpflege fair showcased an impressive array of innovative solutions, services, and products. Again, this fair demonstrated its crucial role as the main meeting point for dialogue and collaboration in the care sector.

Legrand Care showcased its solutions for assisted and independent living at the event. Under Independent Living, visitors had the chance to learn more about the mobile and fixed digital telecare solution, NOVO Go, as well as the classic and reliable NOVO. Legrand Care also presented the improvements made to the BI panel of the professional digital terminal management platform, CMP. In the Assisted Living category, they exhibited nursing home and dementia solutions, along with the advanced ALMA platform.

"I am very pleased with the results obtained at Altenpflege 2024, and we eagerly anticipate our participation in the next edition in Nuremberg," emphasized José Carlos Escamilla, General Manager of Legrand Care Germany. "Our success at this prestigious event reaffirms our commitment to driving innovation in elderly care and strengthening our partnerships within the industry. We look forward to showcasing even more groundbreaking solutions and continuing to contribute to the advancement of eldercare at the upcoming Nuremberg edition."

The Altenpflege fair Congress addressed the main current themes and challenges of the industry. Topics discussed included the economic burden of many care companies, staff shortages, and challenges in the provision of outpatient and residential care. Opportunities offered by digitalization and examples of innovative practices and solutions were also explored.

Furthermore, the congress provided major industry associations with the opportunity to directly present their needs to Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach, who connected live to inaugurate the event. Lauterbach assured that the demands would be discussed in his ministry and considered that the federal government and his ministry are on a generally good path. "We are implementing very fundamental laws and reforms, which are unclogging the stagnation in reforms," said the minister.

Legrand Care's team reflected with great satisfaction on their participation at Altenpflege 2024 in Essen. With numerous visitors and engaging discussions, "it provided significant momentum for both our team and the entire industry, particularly during economically challenging times."

For 34 years, Altenpflege has been the leading event in the care industry, primarily aimed at executives, care service leaders, operators of outpatient and residential care facilities, as well as care professionals.

It is divided into themes such as Care and Therapy, Career and Education, Food and Domestic Economics, IT and Management, as well as Space and Technology.
